Infection control statement
As a Practice we endeavour to comply fully with current infection prevention and cleanliness.
To ensure this compliance is adhered we constantly review all our policies and procedures (annually as a minimum) and conduct our own interview audits at least annually.
We have also had an inspection within the Practice by a facilitator from the MPS who:
- Reviewed our current approach to infection control.
- Undertook interviews with key Practice staff.
- Identified any areas of risk within the Practice relating to infection control such as levels of cleanliness and hand washing.
Any findings and recommendations that needed to be acted upon to manage and reduce infection within the Practice were implemented. This was to ensure that our systems and procedures are compliant with current guidelines and legislation.
Consequently there have been no outbreaks of infection within the Practice.
Our Practice has an infection control lead who is responsible for ensuring all relevant policies and procedures are up to date and adhered to by members of the Practice team.
